Quoka on Rottnest Island - Western Australia

Rottnest Island (also known by it's Nyungar name Wadjemup) is home to the Quokka, a cute little macropod (the same family as a Kangaroo or a Wallaby) that inspired the first European visitors to refer to the island as a 'Rats Nest', leading to the name Rottnest Island.
